First email sent from mission field. April 13, 2009. You can tell they are hard at work!


Hello, We are trying to adjust quickly but it is hard. It is hot as we had heard it would be.We are not in a english speaking mission or a Tagalog speaking mission. They speak Ilonggo so we are now learning a new language. We have gone out with the missionaries on three different discussions. It was exciting even if we didn't know what they were saying for sure. We have a really nice house in a nice area. We have a truck to get around. We had conference this week at church. We hope to get a land telephone line next week . It sounds like we might be in this area for awhile. We are in LaCarlota where Earl and Leah served for awhile. We have meet Sister Mae and Brother Custodio who know the Houtz's.
