Maayong Gabi(good evening), Oct 17,2009Hope everyone is doing okay! It is hard to realize that theweather over in Utah and Idaho is turning into winter. It is still hot , humidand rainy here. I did see some Halloween decorations for sell today. Come tofind out they do celebrate Halloween here. They have a party at the cemetery.There are a lot of them here, so I’m not sure if they do it at all of them or acertain one. I’ll let you know after it is over. I doubt we will go to it butmaybe we can pass by and look! I bought a mask in Bacolod yesterday to hang onthe wall as a decoration. Bacolod is having their famous “Mass Kara” festival this weekend. Wewent to the city plaza yesterday but it was too early. They were just settingup the sound systems. This festival has hundreds of dancers wearing fancycostumes doing amazing dances. It is a competition of groups from all over theisland. I am having the AP in the mission office buy me a DVD that they sell. Ithink it is of the final day performances. Our neighbour is getting into thespirit of Christmas every morning about 6:30-7am they have Christmas musicplaying. It is English so we enjoy it along with them. I bought a Christmasdecoration and put it up on the wall today. We are still in La Carlota City for6 more weeks. We did transfers yesterday and took 3 elders into Bacolod. Wethought we would be going to Panay island because the senior couple that wasthere went home Oct 14. The mission pres. decided to wait for a few monthsbefore he moves the senior couples around.Love to everybody need to go Elder and Sister Adams
