Email and Pictures sent May 7, 2009

Hi everyone, Hope you received the pictures. I was only able to do 5 on a email. Thought I had lost the first try so had to start over and discovered I hadn’t lost it. That’s joys of trying to use a computer. It is 8pm here in the Philippines May 7, 2009. I was thinking about what to write and decided to tell about our house. I can’t remember if I have already told you about it. I didn’t keep the emails to remind me what I have written. Our house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the front room and kitchen are all one big room. We have a small fridge, small stove, small microwave, rice cooker, couch set, dining table with 6 chairs, queen size mattress – no box springs, air conditioner in the bedroom (life saver!!!!!!!), standing fan(another life saver!!!!). The house is made out of cinder blocks and then cemented like stucco inside and out. The roof is metal. We have a small yard with trees and flowers. We have 2 bushes that are called Kalamansi. They have a fruit kind of like lime in color but flavor is more of a lemon. They use them here to flavor sauces & drinks. We use them to make a drink like lemonade. We have a cement wall about 6 feet tall around the yard. It has a gate that we can lock at night for safety. It was getting really rusty so I hired the neighbor to scrape and paint it. We bought the supplies and paid him 400 pesos which is $ 8.31. It took him 2 days to do it. We have little critters that like to run around on the roof at night it varies in time. Since it has started to rain more especially at night we haven’t had the critters running around to wake us up instead it is the rain. It’s okay since we have gotten older one of us get up to go to the C.R. anyway. We pay 6000 pesos a month rent, 400 pesos for water, 2500 pesos for electric, usage fee to mission home 4000 pesos for truck and houseware, with food and gasoline last month we spent about 30000 pesos which is about $623.00.
